treefrogie84 one of my goals for this year was to use this thing more. I used to use my LJ as kind of a catch-all journal and (what we now call) bujo, but then LJ got bought and I abandoned it because well, [waves vaguely at everything that was happening in 2010-ish] and I've just... never gotten back into the habit.
(My LJ was also the last time I tried to have a different user name anywhere before giving up and just accepting that I'm gonna be Frogie for the rest of my life)
I had a half-written entry started last week about how busy i am this time of year (gonna be out of town 3 weekends in a row!) in an attempt to make my brain shut the fuck up, but then I (shockingly!) got too busy to finish it so I just threw it out. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm freakishly busy trying to shove 7 days worth of housework and chores into 3 or 4 days, that's nice, moving on.
I think i finally figured out how to cover my first tattoo. Not because i don't like it, or i've changed so much that it doesn't really fit me anymore (doesn't fit my aesthetic anymore, but that's a different issue) but because the fucking n*zi's have decided to take all things norse and turn them into bigotry. so going to see if my preferred artist can turn it into trees and foliage and treefrogs. I also still need to decide if I still want to do the wraith squadron one on my shoulder or if i should come up with something else. (fuck disney forwards and backwards anyway)
I need to mow today. I need to figure out if i'm going to try to plant anything else this spring (by virtue of that out of town for 2 more weekends in a row, the answer is no). My basil is going to die-- its stem got broken while traveling sunday-- which is why i only ever plant mint and strawberries.
(side note: i got most of the lawn mowed over my lunch break and am making the executive decision that my neighbors can suck it, the rest can wait until next week. it's 87/31, feels like 98/37)

ugh. Ok. Granular to do list, because apparently my bujo isn't cutting it this week:
- fold/put away laundry
- make granola bars
- pack
- take the recycling out
- car through car wash (mostly for the vacuuming)
- unbury and clean out cooler
- finish current page of kinkmeme save (almost done!)
- move ch17 of BFFs into new doc
- pack food for trip
- HKMarket for drinks?

My basil plants tend to be very dramatic (it seems like they wilt if its too hot/cold/dry/wet). My parsley on the other hand did well through most of the winter (and I think reseeded itself).
(also, since I was reminded of DTOA today - do know know if there's a Discord for it? the Slack group looks a bit abandoned)

Date: 2022-05-12 01:08 pm (UTC)i don't think basil can come back from a broken stem, but I planted it in the dirt and have been watering it anywya. i'll keep doing that until it is no longer green. anything that doesn't respond well to benevolent neglect doesn't belong in my yard anyway
